Accommodation at the start and end of the tour: La Ferme de Sarène

The farm covers more than two hectares of land, where various types of young trees (citrus, cashew, mango, guava, papaya, banana, etc.) are maturing, and it also has two wells. We raise chickens, zebus, goats and horses, and grow a range of cereals including millet and sorghum, as well as peanuts and black-eyed beans. The surface area of the house and its terraces is approx. 300m2. There are two rooms with twin beds and one room with a double bed. The bathroom/shower and toilet are separate, and both are shared. One large room serves as a kitchen, dining room and lounge. An additional room of 6mx6m with its own bathroom and toilet is available outside, closed to the main building. The reverse-osmosis filtered water supply is pumped from a well, and electricity is provided by solar panels. Mobile Internet is available via Wifi.
Night 2: Le Thiossane camp in Mbodiene
The camp covers six hectares overlooking a lagoon which is a veritable paradise for countless birds: cormorants, spoonbills, cranes, flamingos, hundreds of pelicans, herons, etc. Beyond the lagoon, an immense wild ocean beach stretches off into the distance.
Night 3: Baobab Lodge – Fadial
Facing the great sacred baobab, the lodge offers independent rooms in air-conditioned cottages and an Internet connection via Wifi.
Nights 4 and 5: Palmarin ecolodge

Nestled between huge, white-sand beaches and the lagoons of the Saloum delta, the Palmarin Ecolodge features stunning architecture combining several Senegalese ethnic styles. It lies in a prime location at the heart of a region classified as a nature reserve, with protected forests and mangrove-fringed lagoons that are a paradise for thousands of birds.
